Get the spray. It's alot sticker than the tape. It's a much more viable solution. I didn't want to redo the lines from each overlay (I threaded them thru under the gauges) so I just pulled them out enough to get some slack, cut a slit in some cardboard, put the gauge's wire in the slit so I could cover the rest of the pod, sprayed the back of the gauge and replaced the overlay. Just took a couple minutes each and they're sticking nicely now.
