The wire should go OVER the caliper, from one side to the other, and not slighty underneath, where the metal just HAPPENS to fit perfectly, anyway..

To my knowledge, the back calipers do NOT have a retaining spring. I'm very interested in this post since I just replaced all rear brakes. New calipers, rotors, Mintex pads (and unrelated bearings, BAT swaybar, struts and Eibachs).
The pedal is super spongey and it pulls the the right slightly under braking. I've driven it for about 1 week so the brakes should be bedded in. The fronts are untouched and the pedal was pretty firm before.
Any ideas?
