Totally cool. Once Big Jim posted that... I felt terrible. I even pulled out my Haynes Manual to double check, and that's were I saw the note I put in it saying NOT ATF, and a reminder (as if I needed one) to never go to that dealer.

Back to the issue at hand though. Big Jim beat me to it, by tapping on the calipers with a wrench, or perferable a brass/plastic hammer. Since they are new, there still may be some air in them. If the car stops safely, and just the pedal feels spongy, drive it for a day or two, then re-bleed them. The vibration from the movement of the car, and the constant use of them should squeeze all that air out of the nookes and cranies, and any air will be able to escape. And as previously posted, check those springs on the front calipers.

The wire should go OVER the caliper, from one side to the other, and not slighty underneath, where the metal just HAPPENS to fit perfectly, anyway..

To my knowledge, the back calipers do NOT have a retaining spring. I'm very interested in this post since I just replaced all rear brakes. New calipers, rotors, Mintex pads (and unrelated bearings, BAT swaybar, struts and Eibachs).

The pedal is super spongey and it pulls the the right slightly under braking. I've driven it for about 1 week so the brakes should be bedded in. The fronts are untouched and the pedal was pretty firm before.

Any ideas?

thanks
