Ah yes. Thanks Big Jim, I stand corrected. I almost found this out the hard way this past summer. My local dealerships told me to flush my brake system when I had it in to replace the e-brake lines under warranty, and they told me to use an ATF fluid. I actually bought some, but before using it, double checked with my Haynes manual which said to use DOT 3. Somehow I had things goofed up in my head, but now that I think back more... well that was some brain fart. Sorry for any confusion.
RE: Todd TCE, it was a mis-communication/recollection on my part. Although, the dealership did tell me to use ATF fluid, but are clearly wrong. Sorry to offend you or whatever. I'll never make a mistake again.
