I used a Sachs Super set on my old 280hp 3L and it held up for the most part. I wasn't until after about 12K miles that it started to slip a little. But at the same time I had tuned the engine a little more so that slip might have acutally been caused by the engines higher output.

That Sach's cluch is a good deal if you ask me!

I don't want to get the stock clutch but I would rather get an aftermarket clutch that has proven itself worthy in other Contours. I don't want a pure racing clutch. I'm not taking it to the strip. I just want something that will have a better "grab" than the stock clutch. Keep in mind the funds are low. I'm planning on buying the clutch and having a local shop do the install.

Another question. Does anyone have any idea on how involved replacing the clutch is on an SVT? I mean, do they have to completely remove the entire transmission. I just don't want any hidden charges and I don't want to go into this blind folded. This is a lot of money for me so I want to make sure I'm getting the right part for my needs.. Thanks guys..
