That is a nice little tour! That baby is really gonna gleam once you get her all buffed up and get a little sunshine on it. Check the FAQ on the front end for all kinds of simple mods, they dont cost much and it makes it your own. Get a Haynes '95-00 Contour Manual, takes you right through the whole car. Congrats on the car.

Haynes is good, I keep a copy around, but I have to reccommend a CD from todras as well- an amazing amount of info about every system.

Broken headlight switch bezel... Junk yard, eBay, or dealer. In that order.
You might luck out & find a Contique with fog lights & pull the bezel with switch from that. Wiring the fog lights to stock headlight switch with fog option is relatively easy.
Enjoy the car. If it's an auto, get a tranny cooler installed. Best insurance you can buy.
Must be that jumbly-wumbly thing happening again.

I don't get it, everyone tells people to get a tranny cooler..
220,000 k on my zetec auto, no tranny flushes.. EVER, no cooler.. nada, and it still works fine.. other then the hwy driving when the O/D light flashes sometimes and it goes into fail safe mode.
other then that it shifts fine...
nice car btw dude, get rid of the hubcaps tough! get some nice rims on there and your set. happy modding!

Im taking it in tommorow to get a new serpentine belt and a tranny cooler put on. Not a dinky little add on cooler but an all out, supercalifragilistic cooler (i think its european.) Everyone is telling me to to ditch the caps and get some rims... ANYONE WANT TO HELP ME PAY FOR SOME? after the tranny cooler i'm debating between a B&M Shift kit($200) or maybe an air intake. I want to get some mechanics done b4 i make r pretty

Hahahaha.

I found that flagrant dash of irony amusing as well.
Medeiros, you might have avoided the above problem if you had a cooler installed. Hell, you might still be able to add a cooler & the flashing O/D light might go away with a couple of 4 quart drain & fill sessions. Additionally, the climate in Florida where this young man will be is considerably warmer than Ontario, so an additional precaution to preserve his wheels is prudent.
I'll spend $100 to save $2500 every time... And the cooler can be removed & used in his next car if he cares to put in the effort.

Yeah that would suck...
I keep quarters in mine, save them up for carwashes. They don't rattle much really.

I keep change in my holder and yeah it doesent really rattle much at all but it does make the car look cleaner inside if there isnt any change in it, but its nice having the spare change especally when your at the drive thru. if you guys think change in the change holder is bad for rattling you outta try putting it in the ashtray holy crap that gets annoying.
