"My dad works for ford desiging airbags and says you CAN NOT splice wires, they solely rely on the connectors, and will indefiently malfunction if "spliced" together." That doesn't make any sense. What is so special about the connectors? That sounds like the classic argument of it, "wasn't designed for that". If that idea was always followed less risks would be taken and less progress would be made, much less. Couldn't you just use the factory ford connector after the clock spring? That is assuming that the airbags activate the same way with the same voltage input ect.
