in many states it is illegal to modify an exhaust system so that it is louder than stock. that might be what he means by "staying legal."

Maybe... but last I checked flowmasters tend to be even louder than Dynomax!

What would a federal office like the EPA have to do with state law?

k-what I meant is that dynomax does not meet EPA standards-even every shop here in town that carriedthem quit recently because 2 of them were fined by the epa for selling dynomax. the guy said it had something to do with the straight through design. I was told flowmasters are legal here because they have the chamber design. now, the shops will put on anything that a customer brings in to them...they are only fined for selling the item not installing it. No,it makes no sense to me either, I am only putting in my 2 cents like everyone else, going off of what I am told our local restrictions are. I personally like the magnaflows but want tostay legal and pass state inspections.

No drone, great midrange and top end power. Sounds like a sweet tuned BMW.
I love it.

I believe it. With two pipes in and two pipes out with a stright-through design, there isn't much room for the packing material...
