As I was giving my SVT a tune up since it had been parked most of the winter, I was cleaning my air filter when I noticed something didn't look right. So WHAT THE F-CK happened here. No I haven't been racing or getting wheel hop, although the last time I did drive it I do remember hitting a pothole but it didn't seem big enough to do this kind of damage. So my next question is are these universal thru all of the years, cause if so I will just go and take it off of my 96 that I am parting out.

Wow you/someone did a good job on that. Just my 2 cents, the bolts that are hold the tranny to the motor are probably under a good amount of stress right now, I would put a jack under the tranny to take some stress off. Just an idea. Hope that nothing is broken on the tranny and you'll be able to just put a new mount on with no problems.

Breaking of that bolt is pretty common. Not sure if it's unniversal though.

That is a broken motor/trans mount. Time to replace it.

I know stazi has drilled thru the top and replaced the bolt with a new one. Much cheaper than the dealership alternative. I'll let him chime in. I will do the same when mine breaks.

exact same thing happened to me...I bought the car about two months ago and went to put in my RU-3530 and saw something looking weird below it (it was the tranny mount aka roll resisitor you have it your hand). I picked it up to see the bolt had snapped just like urs. I soaked the snapped bolt w/ PB Blaster and let it sit over night. Next day i put the snapped end of the screw in a vise and used a huge pipe wrench to grip the "mushroom piece" (you'll know waht i mean if you pull that swiss chees lookin rubber piece off)to get it off. Then went to my local harnware store and bought a 8.8 grade bolt (must be atleast 8 grade or it will snap again SOON). Its a PITA to find the right legnth bolt w/ the right length threads to fit. But trial and error works
I would take it out to tell you the exact length but its way to much of a PITA, but I'll try to help you as much as possible. Just PM me. Like mentioned earlier the whole part is over $100 and you can buy a bolt for a couple bucks. worst comes to worst buy a few diff lengths and use the one that works. you'll be saving ALOT of $.
