I had the big V several years ago. One 'guy' was mad at me the other was ok with it. Best decision I've ever made. But, we're in different situations. AS for the cost, realistically ~75%. Think about actual costs for the doctor - his overhead doesn't change (nurse, facility, ins. etc.). The only real differnce will be a 10 minute proceedure instead of 15 minutes.
Good luck Tony.

Isn't that why most men shoot a couple loads into test tubes and put them on ice before the procedure?

You know I'm just kidding about the cost. I just pay my co-pay, so $50, plus my co-pay for the prescription drugs afterwards
Thanks,
TB

Prescription drugs? Pain meds? Gents, find a second opinion or someone doing the "no scalpel" procedure. Seriously, I think I took about 6 Advil total in the weekend after my procedure was done, and I'm not the type to suffer in pain rather than take drugs. The pain was not that bad, just a lot of discomfort in the area for a couple of days. A better example than the one I mentioned in an earlier post is the worst case of blueballs you've ever had for about 2 days. It's NOT that bad.

All done!!!
I went in at about 1pm today, left by 3pm. Actual cutting was about 10 minutes.
I got to see the little bit of vas defferins they cut out. They took about a 2cm length. It is about the size of cooked spaghetti if you want a visual reference.
So it's not too bad at all. I was instructed to us an ice pack until I go to bed tonight, and not to do much activity for the next 2-3 days.
I go back in a week to have the incision inspected and 5 weeks later for the sperm count.
If they get two counts of zero, mission accomplished.
I hope my insurance includes a really good nurse to obtain the sample. Reminds me of a joke that I can't tell here, LOL.

This is making things look up for me. I'm 25 with two little girls and I've been thinking about getting this done for awhile. Her OB/GYN told her we had to wait until we were both at least 25 years of age to either have her tubes tied or me getting a Vas. It's easier on a man to have the precedure done then a frontal tuboulegation* on a women.
Thanks for the info.....
