The news this morning reported that our city's restaurants were all packed all weekend.

I worked at Wal-Mart cashiering as usual this weekend - it was busier than Christmas! Every single register was open (a rarity in itself, except for Christmas) and with lines reaching past the main aisles behind them.

Working retail has soured my former fondness for holidays. I can't wait those few months till summer when I can finally quit this job.
