My friend wanted a VHS copy of Pretty Woman. Well, can't find it on tape unless you order, and it was too late to order. So I try to copy the DVD, and I can't defeat the MacroVision protection, ever running it through an RF modulator.

So I said the heck with it, I bought her a DVD player for her bedroom. She already has the movie on DVD, but didn't have a DVD player in her bedroom.

I hope she likes it. It's not exactly what she asked for, but hopefully she will appreciate the effort.

I have a few other things, a nice card, some real effort into wrapping the gift, including a couple of plastic hearts full of conversation hearts and valentines M&Ms.

Tonight, we'll visit a nice restaurant for dinner and drinks, exchange gifts and we'll see what's going on after that

Oh, and as a gag, I've wrapped a florescent (sic?) light bulb for her. She has a light that keeps burning out, so I'm done replacing it for a while and am going to replace it with one of these babies.

It too has the chocolates on the package.
