Just because your install got messed up or you used a sh*tty component doesn't mean you should defer others from a power-gaining mod.
Stock res. is chambered. High flow res is not. Therefore, less backpressure = more power. Of course a $20-40 mod like this won't throw you back into your seat when you punch the gas, but its a start to increase the gains of future projects (MAF, UIM, etc).[/b]You are an idiot.. :rolleyes:
On an SVT (you don't have one), removing the resonator creates some wicked drone. For the 2-3hp you pick up (I dynoed it, so STFU), it isn't worth the trade-offs. Replacing it with a high-flow resonator (what I finally did) still gives you some added "noise", but still adds a slight restriction to your exhaust, so now you're probably 1-2hp over stock. Not worth it for the trouble and money you're wasting, unless you're doing it purely for sound.
