Just because your install got messed up or you used a sh*tty component doesn't mean you should defer others from a
power-gaining mod.
Stock res. is chambered. High flow res is not. Therefore, less backpressure = more power. Of course a $20-40 mod like this won't throw you back into your seat when you punch the gas, but its a start to increase the gains of future projects (MAF, UIM, etc).
