Bob, sorry I didn't see your post earlier. The drivers side mount is not that difficult to replace. Consider yourself lucky that you had if fixed before you had a bigger problem!!!!!

It looked intimidating enough. The passenger-side mount looks like it'd be very easy to do, and the front and rear mounts, while more awkward, looked like I could do them if I was determined. I guess, if I cannot actually get to where I have a clear view of the part in question before I begin dismantling things, I get intimidated. While I was replacing the VSS, I made a specific point of trying to get a look at this mount, and could not.

That was my thinking. I had the transmission replaced a few years ago, so I know what that costs. $262.46 now, or more than ten times that much for a new transmission in the near future. Even as much as it hurt to spare the $262.46, this wasn't a difficult choice to make.

I just had the same problem.
I'm just posting to say thanks to everyone who contributes to this site. Because of this, I was able to quickly determine what was wrong, and even though I didn't do the work myself, I had the part in-hand when I went to the mechanic and got the work done fast.
I'm also happy to have found a great source for discounted OEM parts thanks to this forum.
It's just nice to have such a great support group.
