There is nothing special about them, they look EXACTLY like regular bleeder screws.Even out of the package other than the hole in the bottom I couldnt tell a difference.Unless you pay extra for the polished ones.

If the old fluid is really raunchy you may need about 1 1/2 quarts. If you change it every year, you don't need quite a full quart.

well, unfortunately, I didn't get a chance to do it tonight, since I had to go back into work (grrr) but I went ahead and picked up some brake fluid tonight. I got 4 quarts . . . but before anyone laughs or says anything, remember, I gotta do my Cobra too, and the fluid in it is prolly 8 years and 83k miles old (looks like ink, ewwww)
the contour isn't quite 2 years old yet, it mostly just needs bleeding, but since I have abused my brakes over the car's short life, I figured a full flush would be good.

It's all about balance.

I used just under 2 qts of brake fluid. I did the clutch hydraulics as well.

Autozone carries the speed bleeders for the rears (all), and early SVT fronts. Since both are the same size.

~$8 for a pair.

You'll need two quarts exactly, it you're replacing the nasty, gucky stuff that's been sitffling my braking since I bought the car 5 years ago. Younger cars with more frequent flushes won't need as much.

I just bought the single big bottle of valvoline synthetic and that was just about right to flush all of the lines. I was experiencing brake fade as well, and I changed the fluid. Cleared it right up. The fluid was a little over 2 years old. I usually try to change it once a year though.

Yeah, I plan on flushing the brakes soon. Never done it before, so it will be an experience!
