WOW, lots of differing opinions on this subject. We got lucky and the pup is nearly housebroken. He did piddle a smidge last night on our carpet, hub told him no and put his nose in it before steam cleaning it up. LOL. He didn't hit him or anything. We will just have to watch him more carefully, otherwise he's doing great. The kids are loving him.
We'll just keep on with taking him out every hour, except when he's crated at night. Once he's completely housebroken, no more crate at night for him. This is just until he's fully trained. It's a huge crate, and he's still a small pup, so he's got plenty of room in it. Hopefully we can take a pic of Blackjack today and I will post it. He's a cutie.
