You should never touch a dogs nose (in that manner), it is more sensitive than you could ever imagine. We have never had a dog bite in our household, and the dogs have never been punished physically, tied up, or confined as punishment.

Very good advice! Also it is not a potty training issue but labs LOVE to chew, so be prepared for that.
