So the moroso unit you used has no electric solenoid valve on it? THat's what I'm guessing as I looked into that one a few years ago. Seems like the solenoid itself costs almost as much as the accumulator!

I would think that would be OK to do. Sure, at startup you'd have a lot of oil in the crank case but it would quickly just fill the accumulator when you started it.

Either that or you mount a manual valve somewhere and go close it just before you shut the car off.
