I understand the concept of the return spring, which return spring to use and how to rig it up is another thing. Any more information about this spring mod? Thanks in advance..

My concern comes from the holes in the middle, not the ends. I am concerned that not blocking them will cause extra turbulence. Aren't all of the ports meant to function individually, w/o draw from the other ports? Could this possibly provide more air for certain combustion chambers and not enough to others?

I wouldn't worry about the holes between the ports. The airflow is not even going to notice them. With both ports nearly the same diameter the air pressure on both sides would be equal as well.
Both primary and secondary ports dump into the same cylinder. Both ports will pull the same amount of air each time (since the engine is a fixed air pump) The air flow is mainly down the center of the ports. The airflow directly at the walls is considerably slower. (buffer) The engine will pull the air in from the path of least resistance. That would be the 34mm hole rather than the 3mm one (which would also have equal vacuum from the opposing port).

Ok, so with the rods and butterflys removed how much additional air will the ports flow as compared to stock? Anyone have a clue, I would guess considerably more. Another questions, if the bore on the svt secondaries are 35mm (not sure off the top of my head) what size would it be with the butterflys and rods out?

Answered it in a previous post. 20% Primary port gain in surface area. 16% Secondary port gain in surface area. 2. The late model 99 & all 00 SVT's have the largest LIM which measures the following: Primary Inlet: 33.5mm Secondary Inlet: 34.7mm Primary Outlet: 32.5mm Secondary Outlet: 34mm

Demon we have to check the configuration of the wiring to see which one is the switching wire. then we could splice in and add our own power input to tuen on the IMRC to open - right?

This does not seem logical to me - does anyone have the diameter of stock, SVT and 3.0 butterfly plates???

Stazi, Demon is saying that we should have made the engine throw a CEL to adjust timing. Since we left the rod ends in..are we hurting the engine by kocking or anything..or are we just missing the full potentional???

I think we are mostly missing the full potential..My engine hasn't knocked yet.
