OK, I have 18" Konig Theories. My tires are Sumitomos, 225/40/R18.
They rub the undersides of my rear wheel-wells like bastards!
If I were to get thinner tires with smaller sidewalls, what size should I get?
Could this even help, or would they still rub?
This is driving me nuts!

I had that same problem with my 95 stique. I had 16's on it with 225's and went to 205's and now everything is fine. I would try a 205 tire.. maybe someone can say if the 215 would work but i dont know

Wow, you had 16's and they were rubbing? No wonder I've got problems....
So, has anyone with 18's ever remedied this, short of rolling the fenders?

Search for "rolling fenders" the answer are there. Don't sh!t your pants yet - thinner tires are not required.

Do it the Stazi way, take a bat and roll the fender yourself, took him maybe 30 seconds and i have no issues. I'm running 225/40/zr18's with NO RUBBING.

It's pretty simple, bat in wheel well, roll across rear edge, where rear bumper and body meet, that's where it rubs.

Yep...
You can also use a grinder on the metal lip that extends out. When I rolled mine...some paint cracked...
