who's got a better Wireless router? I keep getting disconected from the internet with the Dlink that we have right now.. We used to have a Linksis that had a solid and steady connection. the Dlink that we have is a 4 port router W/yfi wireless and it dropes the computers connected to the cables every few seconds.. should i just go out and buy a new router?

I've had nothing but problems with every Linksys product I've owned. I finally stopped RMA'ing them and just went out and bought competitors equipment. It was cheaper than to keep paying the shipping to RMA Linksys crap. Worst investment was $236 for a WRT55AG. POS still doesn't work right and has yet to be updated for WPA, even though older models like the WRT54G have the update. Linksys product support (updates for new technologies) sucks. I will never buy anything from them again.

I have a DLink wireless router, and after about 9 months of using it the wireless range is now a whopping 6 feet and none of the wired ports work either

This is why it's so hard to figure out what to buy. We have a Linksys G wireless router (and Linksys cable modem) and they've worked perfectly for six months now. But I've heard other people who have had serious issues. Same with D-Link. Don't know what the answer is....

D-Link products are utter crap.
It's really as simple as that!
P.S. Linksys=Cisco= V. Good (and they give groovy pens to resellers!!)
