wow guys u r making me feel like a celebrity lol. i remember 2yrs ago when i rolled into the lil gathering in nj, all i heard was "hey, theres deanjoyce.com" lol. i'm hoping to bring the car out there in finished condition, but i doubt i'll be able to dyno it yet since the t.t. setup might still be in fabrication. AND if i blow anything... i got a reallllly long drive home somehow, we'll see.

Don't forget, folks, that Spring Zing was originally conceived of back in ... hmm, was it '98?

...Regardless, it was a "Come one, come all, run what ya brung" event for car enthusiasts of all sorts, with all sorts of cars.

What originally brought the core group together was a group of mostly Contour owners, but the Contours at the time only served as a catalyst for the gathering.

In contrast, the Contour National Meet(s) were intended as a primarily Contour-centric meet.

While I wasn't the first member of the CEG, I do go back quite a ways. I haven't owned a Contour in years - I bought my '96 SE new in 1996, and sold it in 2002 - but I still have people in the Contour group that I am proud to call my friends, and I will definitely be there.

The Contours won't last forever, but I'd like to think that we could all get together, regardless, and 'run what we brung'.

Pinkyzxtuner, if you do get to the meet, swing by and say hi. I'll have the blue & gold STi.

Todd, you can swing by and say hi too, of course, but we already know each other.

Agreed. If I end up coming, I'll park out in the weeds in the back 40 if I have to. It's all about the people... well, O.K. usually one or two really well known cars, but other than that it's the people. How many Duratecs with cotton gauze filters can you look at anyway?

"zenboy"... BTW, it's Mike, right??? I think I remember you and your wife from K.C.' 99...
