Here is the info that I have. Although the numbers aren't astronomical, they do prove that a shield will dramatically reduce heat soak. I have measured a 50 degree F difference from the outside of the heat shield to the other side of the shield at the filter (KKM). It definitely aids in blocking the air the fans will blow into the intake as well.

with the shield and hood closed: 164.0hp and 147.2lb/tq
with the shield and hood open: 166.6hp and 147.8lb/tq
Blake's car:
hmmm....hood open = 164.3 hp / 144.5 lb. ft.
hood closed = 160.4 hp / 141.6 lb. ft.
Both of these cars were built in the same month. They are both silver SVTs.
