I thought they were a bit cheaper than that... Got any local junkyards with V6 contours??
You may want to try cleaning it out first as that would be the cheapest way to go and there's certainly no harm in trying to clean it...
Use carb/tb cleaner and clean out the inside, it will likely be gunked up with carbon. I like Valvoline's synthetic carb/tb cleaner. It works very well.
