i have been to 3 dealerships in the past year. i found Colony Ford in Meriden, CT to have poor customer service, but a genuinely nice staff. not all that accomodating, but pleasent to work with. Dowling Ford in Cheshire, CT has the best service of any Ford Dealership i have ever been to. We've had better service from our Honda, Audi, and Land Rover dealers, but for Ford this is one of the best dealerships around. The last dealership was by far the worst. Colonial Ford in Danbury, CT has horrible service. not only did i feel unvalued, but i was offended by the attitudes of their workers. they acted as if a simple oil change was a huge hassle and i waited longer than i had at any other dealer. they also tried to charge me $55 for a brake inspection. there reasoning was that they would have to remove each wheel for the inspection, but doesnt that take about 5 minutes with an air gun? i also found the way they drove my car around the lot to be reckless and un-nerving. i left that dealership refusing to ever go back. i would get my oil changed by a meineke before i would allow them to ever touch it again

sounds like Bonnell ford.
my lower control arm bushings are junk and when i brought the car to them to diagnose the funny noise in the front end they told me they couldn't hear it.
then the tech decided to inform me that after test driving it he couldn't get it to make any noise, even whe he hit big potholes and drove over speed bumps at 20 mph.
fuggers!

Keating Ford in Stratford the parts desk has always been good with us, service is good and the tech seem good also, but I have a feeling they pull the normal things to get money from people

Healy Ford in Ansonia we stay away from, bought our windstar there but there are not good service wise, father took his car there for the cat recall on the 95s and it took three time to get it done, as they didn't get the parts, and we question if it was ever really done

been to Family Ford and Crestwood Ford to look at cars, nothing jumps out there

Shaker Lincoln Mercury we purchased 2 cars from, fathers car has been great, they ran us around alittle on my mothers car, car was missing the spoiler and all they wanted to do was add a 3rd brake light in the window, but we wanted the car stock so we payed for the spoiler, and the difference to get the tires my parents wanted over what ever they were going to put on. to our van there for a cel under warrenty and no issues

I think there is a dealer up in Enfield that is suppose to be really good , not sure of the name

Enfield Ford.

They are really good, A few people I know who run small businesses deal with them exclusively for all their service.

Good advice.
I called Healey Ford yesterday morning. What a bunch of idiots!! I actually told the lady that she was an idiot before I hung up on her.

I had a few dealings with Colony they have been alright. Good to know there is a good dealer in Cheshire. I think it was Morande in Berlin that I didn't like they wouldn't even look at my dash because I didn't buy my car there. My father has dealt with Enfield and they were good to him.

I've had good luck with Millbury Ford in Auburn, MA, when taking my Contour there mechanics-wise. Don't even think of taking a part-Ford there though, they absolutely hated working on my Ford Probe (basically a rebadged Mazda MX6, for those who don't know), told me so, and generally tried screwing me over because of it (incorrect diagnoses, replacing a lock tumbler when only the exterior plastic piece was broken - had to get my dad to talk to the manager about that one!). Parts guys are friendly, service are okay, techs are not but generally get the job done right.

Also, don't go to them for bodywork - Ryan's got one heck of a story about his service there for a simple paint job

Dowling is a good dealership in a very nice and affluent town. sometime's it is hard to get an appointment becuase of the demand of their services (only reputable dealer in area). if you can get an appointment the service is the best i've had from ford

i've heard no one likes working on the Probes or MX6s. i have a friend with a late 90s probe GT. nice sport car, but everytime something goes wrong, many shops dont even want to look at it. my friend had the same problem with his MX6 before he crashed it. apparently they are legendary pains in the asses
