Greg I think you and Dan are looking at the charts wrong,
Actually Micah, I looked again and I think you are looking at it wrong. Notice that run 7 starts a few hundred RPM before run 4 (see HP & Torque together at the beginning). Monster Flow is making more torque AND more HP that AFE until 4400 RPM. It is not possible to make more torque but less power at the same RPM power....
It may be that resetting the computer helped but what we see with the dyno is a big low RPM power loss for whatever reason. And filters cause flow restictions not "backpressure" as exhaust restrictions can. You can't compare the two as someone tried to (no effect on exhaust gas scavenging).
I am NOT saying the AFE is not good (I am neutral on the subject at this point), just that the dyno shown does not prove its that great. Overall average power shown was no better than Monster Flow (though I agree better to have power over 4500 than below), which is a filter dyno proven worse than KKM and much worse than K&N.
