if its the egr it could be why its running a little rough...to bypass the egr you really need to get a chip tuned to run w/o it

yes, it is the EGR tube, i'll try attaching it to the header tommorow, also maybe changing exhaust muffler and adding resonator (thinking about picking up some magnaflows), any suggestions? I want a deep tone with no rasp, anything better than the muffler i have right now.

I just couldn't believe how i was flooring it and i wasnt going anywhere, the sound just got louder and louder, reminded me of my car back when it was all stock . Never ran this bad before, rpm keeps going down, i hope i can get it to work tommorow, i got work on monday .

hooking that egr should help things out...when you mess with the egr i believe it effects your timing....and make sure you reset the computer.....it might be a good idea to add a chip or get or comp reflashed....i believe i was told if you change the amount of air in or out by 5-7% its a good idea

A straight trough dynomax or magnaflow will give you best flow, but a chambered flowmaster sounds the best. IMHO.

Nice install.

It will always sound loud. I have a large Magnaflow resonator and a large rear muffler and it still sounds loud under throttle.

You do lose a little low end but there is a big payoff top end. What do you have exhaust wise (after the header)? You gain some low end grunt by what is after the header. I would say for application....2.25" exhaust piping after the header would be sufficient.

My headers aren't as long or well done as his, but I didn't lose much if any low end and gained a moderate amount of top end. Also I have 2.5 inch piping and a magnaflow muffler and resonator. The closer you put the resonator to the header the more of an effect it will have on the loudness.

hi guys

fixed the problem, never gonna believe this....it was the fuel injector cables, they got fried up and were making contact with each other so the number 1 cyclinder wasnt firing....no fuel. Taped it up, car runs smoother than ever, got a (whatever brand) resonator for now until i can save up to buy a magnaflow. Going to check out the hp gains with my g tech tonight and will post the results later, runs mean rigth now, but we'll c what da dyno says . I can now say im happy with the install, and i hope everyone got something from this post. Thanks for all the help guys, i really appreciated it, talk to you all later.
