it records live tv kinda like TiVo.
if youre in school, then i would HIGHLY recommend getting a laptop. i WISH i had one during my undergrad years. they were way tooo expensive back then and couldnt do much. i finally got one in grad school and it was saweeeet! now, everyone seems to have them at school. i even carry a cheap HP printer in my trunk for those emergency moments when i have to print something and dont want to rush all the way home.
