I think I may resemble that remark. But then I'm a product of that era.

What are some other muscle car era inspired songs?

I can think of "409", "Little GTO", "My Little Cobra", & "Little Old Lady from Pasadena". Some of the artists were The Beach Boys, Jan & Dean, and The Rip Chords.

I love that one.

"Torquing an engine" is sort of a vauge, and I've never heard of any such thing.

Ok, take my old 84 Monte SS for example. Somewhat powerful RWD automatic...

To get off the line better you would push the brake with the left foot and the accelerator with your right. You'd "torque" the engine up until just before the tires lose traction. Then when you get the green, you let off the brake and feather the gas, controlling wheelspin until you hook up and can floor it.

A higher stall torque convertor helps with this, from what my brother told me. Like my Monte's was a 2500RPM or something like that.

Ahhh, I get it. I've heard of people doing that, never heard it called anything specific though. Can't imagine what that does to the engine or trans
