If you put anything but a double platinum plug in the Duratec you will be changing them on a regular basis. (rear bank especially!) Unfortunately that leaves NGK out of the running. I originally threw them in the running because the engine type was Zetec. Now if you have forced induction or nitrous I highly recommend NGK's  I'm personally running Motorcraft AWSF22FS

What are the downfalls of the Bosch quads?
I installed them befor I started reading ppl saying they weren't all that great?
Details?

Details? Your back bank plugs will erode pretty quick. If you can get your money back, do it and get the Autolite APP764's.

Bosch has a lifetime warranty and money back guarantee. I know; I used it... My plugs died in about 6k miles. 3 badly (back bank) 1 mildly & 2 looked okay. I'm sure my chip didn't matters help any :rolleyes: I traded for the AWSF22FS and made $10. Another downfall of the Bosch is they never seem to be the correct heat range. Except for a few vehicles.

Just so you guys know, NGK is the lowest of the japanease spark plugs, so go with Autolite Platinums or normal copper plugs (if you're running Forced induction)

And don't even try and say Nippondenso! :p I believe even on this board you will get a slew of people defending NGK plugs. Not that they make the needed double platinums for the Duratec, but their plugs are great quality. I have never had one fail and always have had great results with them.

Thanks for the tip...Didn't know they had that type of warranty. I'm definatly going to do that. Where is the best/cheapest  place to get the AWSF22FS from? Ford? Thanks

Autozone carries the AWSF22FS plugs in stock for $3.99 each.
They stock them by the box number so just have them cross reference the plug number.
IIRC it's 437FS
It's also listed in some of my old posts from around January...

I've recently aquired an account for NGK, Denso, and Autolite plugs.
I've heard some great stuff about Iridium Plugs and so I'm gonna try NGK Iridium plugs. They should be in middle of this week. I was gonna try the Denso Iridiums for my car but there expensive even at below Jobber cost. Retail the Denso Iridium's sell for around $16 a plug, some places sell them for as much as $20.
