What kills me is when y'all come to Huntsville y'all go to the most mediocre BBQ joint in town. The pork, ribs and chicken are average at best; the fish is slightly below.

For chicken or ribs the ONLY place to go is Thomas' Pit BBQ on highway 72 in Madison. For fish the ONLY place to go is Greenbrier Restaurant out in BFE. For pork there is the other Gibson's in Huntsville (run by a completely different family), or Greenbrier BBQ that is near the other Greenbrier out in BFE (also seperate entities), or the best option is Whitt's BBQ in Athens that is carry-out only and quite simply the best mass-produced BBQ pork in North Alabama/South Tennessee.

Now if you want good pizza the only choice is Big Ed's, downtown.

Well if you are going there, we also have Beauregard's and who can forget Hooter's. Yeah Greenbriars is good too but you know when you walk in the door at the Gibson's in Decatur and there are trophies everywhere....But too that end, we don't have to go just to Gibson's. We have 3 days to get some good grub. So I tell you what, you need to show up to this meet BigMoney and then we will go to eat at the place you decide. Thomas Pit sounds good too. Maybe we can do GB's in the afternoon and play on some killer Athens roads that Lori knows about and then we will hit up Thomas on the way back. Deal?

SS Welcome dude! Head of Nismo... That deserves big props. What were your showcase cars? Yeah we have a bang up time here in HSV. Lori and I are from Huntsville and we usually get the meet coordinated. Phil has some killer pics and a vid of the HSV/TN Inaugural meet that totally rocked. Everyone remember stopping traffic? Oh and hey who can forget the "Nissan Warrior" turned Chevy lumina Calvin.... That reminds me, gotta call him.

Check the posts often, we are trying to get things solidified for the meet in between getting the wedding preps set

DANE! Where you at? Dane has another sharp tour too.

I need my TN people to check in....

SS you have PM

I'm out

Gonna have to disagree w/ you on that one...best place for BBQ is Big Bob Gibson in DECATUR. They rock (and they have the trophies to prove it)!!

Wait a minute now, Big Bob and the Gibson's on South Parkway are different. No trophy sharing allowed

BTW Rich, have you seen the reddish non-SVT running around with the custom front bumper (still white), hood scoop, and some sort of black graphics down the back half? I think it was on steelies but can't remember.

and you're right, I do need to show up.

Yep...

And, so what do we want to do... Cook BBQ or go somewhere and eat BBQ? I know, I'll start a poll in the meet thread.

Money....Seems to me I have but I am not sure....I think I saw one with the spinner hubcaps. Did it look good or did it look like he was playing? Good effort or bad final product? Either way if we can find him/her maybe we can pick their brain... If it looked like good effort, invite him/her....

Phil dog....

Both!

Friday nite we will do the grilling by our master chef: Chief Phil Jackson the grillmeister. Saturday we go out for lunch, Sat nite, dinner, and Sunday.........

Cool?

Well it looks like I'll finally get to enjoy all of this meet for a change. I quit my job at the gas station. A person can only handle being a floor mat for a company only so long before you realize..Hmm doing managements job and not getting management pay. Problem? HELL YEAH! So now Im waitressing and umm makin cash in a club...Needless to say they are more willing to work with my schedule.
Anyways, meant to say it sooner, congrats Rich and Lori. Kinda figured ya'll might say hi to me in one post or another, but its cool. I understand. Well, till next posting....im out!
