Checking out my engine V6 2.7L in detail, I realize the following.....
1. Alternator, power steering pump, a/c compressor are all in the exact same position as the contour. The drive belt routes exactly the same as a contour including tensioner.
2. Much more room in engine bay. Alternator has about 7 inches of space behind it to remove it, vastly different than the contour.
3. Fitings on power steering pump, etc. are better quality.
4. Thermostat is in the same location
5. Ignition moduel is located on front passenger side of engine compared to up against the firewall on Contour.
6. This car will be a piece of cake to work on when it ages.....
