1. Yes. I mounted it as low as possible (and still fit with the cap on - drill with the cap installed
)
2. With how bad the intakes looked. Once a week.
However seeing as I never noticed any oil level loses on the dipstick, probably check it once a month until I get a feel for it.
The main reason I used a easy open drain cock with a long spout was for easy drainage.
Therefore I could just pop a hose on, twist it and be done...
