You can fit a 9" in there with a regular mouth filter and a flangless Pro-M. smile

...or you can fit a 8.5" filter (plus 1 3/4" flange) in there will some effort and shortening pieces... wink laugh

The Filter is an RF-1027 Listed as 8" but that's only it's effective filter area. It's nearly 9" plus the flange.

It's not a direct bolt on. (Had to open up the MAF adapter to ~80mm and add a rubber boot around it) The good thing about it is now it's finally as large as the Pro-M's inlet. laugh

Wow!

Were you really spinning the tires through 3rd....Sheesh!

Makes me jealous smile

Just curious what you used to make & measure these grinds?

Why did you send back the chip....just a few changes in timing?

I can't wait to see the next dyno!

Extrude Hone did the UIM. (+1.6mm both ports)

I did the LIM with a drill press & dremel.

All port matching was done with a dremel except the head. I did that by hand and with a file. Slow & carefully! Vacuum running and ports plugged.

I used a caliper to do the measurements. I measured every port. (of course)

The chip went back to modify the spark curve and raise the redline. They (Superdips) wanted to charge me $250 to change the IMRC point as well (go figure? - that's only 1 line of code???) So I went through Cerra Racing for a fraction of the cost and I will fix the IMRC point myself.
I will either use an MSD RPM switch or a manual one. Running with a rigged spring sucks major ass!!! I want all my timing & fuel to start down low!!! (soon, soon cool )

...and I spun them shifting into 3rd. Not tremendously long, but 3rd none-the-less... laugh

So after these mods is the difference really night and day.

It really makes you wonder why ford didn't try and match everything up (diameter wise)??

Is this something a moderatly knowledgable person should try without supervision? (In otherwords me) Have you done this before?

I would be scared I'd mess something up horribly! wink

So the oil seperator how exactly does it work?

Thanks

Why didn't Ford do it.

Simple. The COST of LABOR!

EH the UIM again. Port match 3 seperate components.

Or go with parts bin parts on a dead platform...

Oil Seperator - Mine is just a hair different, but otherwise the same principle.
