what is a realistically safe redline for the 2.5 with intake, no resonator, taylor wires, and good plugs?

i'm gonna have mike down at cerra racing whip me up a chip for a week (before the car goes bye bye) and ask the guy who buys it if he wants it i'll sell it with the car). i wanted to know what would be good...

I would not consider raising redline above stock without a bottem end rebuild with better bearings and tighter assembly tolerances. Forces at the crank increase with the square of the crank speed, so a little bit of redline increase means HUGE increases in the forces at the crank.

That said, you could prolly bump to 7k and not have any short term effects, but I still wouldn't recommend it.

power peaks at 6500rpm...you won't gain any more after that.
