It'll get picked up by Sci Fi for what's good for them. Star Trek is the basis of Paramount's success, just like Halo made Microsoft for gaming, and Megaman for Capcom.
Do statistics ever count people who watch television for solely one show or the other, specifically because that's all that's good on TV? Trek and crime/investigation shows are all I ever watch tv for, the rest can fall off a cliff.

Trekker from way back, "Enterprise" producers took a big pay cut per episode for this season. They did so to help out future syndication of the show that might not have had even this season without this cut in pay. My life online pretty much began with Star Trek chat at the old Paramount Digital Entertainment Star Trek chat rooms....Man, those were the days.
