That's not possible.

You are guarenteed to throw a P1518 CEL with pinned (or removed) secondaries... (without rigging something to stop it)

If not, something is certainly wrong!

I think the cable is what's broken, so the motor still spins as if it's opening the secondaries, but nothing happens. So even though they're pinned, the car doesn't know about it.

Bottom end sucks, but I don't drive in the bottom end of the range, now do I? wink

dosent the motor expect some kind of resistance to tell the computer ok i'm functioning properly so if you don't rig something up to provide resistance to the motor you should be throwing a CEL....

but i could be totally wrong.....

If it did, I would have known my IMRC wasn't working when I bought the car. It's never thrown a CEL for the IMRC (I have seen every code it's thrown, mostly wheel-speed sensors (dynos & emissions) and O2 codes).
