I live in nyc which means road salt. What is the life expectancy on an aluminum exhaust? What are stock exhausts made out of? the car is already 6 years old. I don't think I should spend the extra money on the exhaust when I will probably only have the car 2-3 more years. Also, the resale value is already crap on these cars so in 3 years I won't really care if I sell it and it needs exhaust work or not. I am looking at putting an intake and catback on and want to try to keep it under $500 bucks figuring I can install it myself. I would like Y-pipe but will hold off in the event I scrounge for MSDS.
