Kayaking with 2 ruptured discs.
There are six screws and 2 rods. The upper set, in L4, are 3.5 inches long.
Three surgeries in all. The last one cost me a week in the hospital learning what true pain really is. Then 1 year of recovery of which I just past the 6 month point.
