i remember a i got while snowboarding.
i had just learned how to jump off of jumps and was taking it in baby steps.
I went up to the local ski resort with this high school kid i knew who was realllly good.
we went up to the snowboard park and he told me to hit the big jumps you need speed (which is true). it sounded/looked easy.
i hit a moderate sized table top at full speed! (now this was about 30 minutes after we got to the park!!)
as i was in the air, maybe 3-4 feet, i started turning and landed on top of the table top, which was ICE, on my ARSE! i laid there for a few minutes unable to move. i thought i was paralyzed a few people asked me if i was ok and finally was able to slide my ass off of the jump so as not to get run over by the people who could care less if you were lying there paralyzed. i laid on the side of the jump for about 15 minutes more.
it pretty much ruined the rest of the day for me and for about TWO months after I couldnt sit direcetly on my tailbone. luckily, i didnt break it, just severely bruised it.
Let me tell you, you dont know what its like not being able to SIT pretty much at all. at work/school, i would have to dangle my ass between two chairs or sit with my ass to the side (like a homo).
a friend told me she broke her tailbone while skiing and it took a looong time to heal. nothing you can really do, except dangle dat ass!
