There are six screws and 2 rods. The upper set, in L4, are 3.5 inches long. Three surgeries in all. The last one cost me a week in the hospital learning what true pain really is. I took the jack right back to ct and yelled at them so badly and threatened to sue etc... they gave me 2 free high end jacks and a bunch of stands! I got a faulty jack!!! luckily I was smart and through some tires and wooden blooks under the car! if I didn't do that I would of been surely dead 1997 Civic CX (lsvtec,el frontend,fast, nuff said)
