I broke my toe running for the bathroom, hit it on the doorframe, I had the squirts real bad so I was moving pretty good. Broke it bad enough that I missed a week of football practice.

when i was 18,

2 tendons lacerated in three places in my left hand as well as some kind of vein or something with no broken bones. by the time we arrived at the hospital which was 5 mintues away the doctor said he was suprised i was still conscious with the blood loss and you should have seen his face when the drugs he was giving me weren't working very well due to my high natural resistance. cause: stupidity/arrogance. long story short, i developed the i've been doing this all my life so i can take short cuts if i want to attitude. rebuilding the internals of my hand cost the insurance company $15000. i was working for my dad that summer. he did not get on me for it because he knew that i would take care of that but my mom wanted to kick his butt.

i am fortunate enough to have recovered 100% and to have learned my lesson for good.

Cracked rib. Me and my friends were playing football (tackle at least) right after a SAT exam about 5 years back, and I jumped on a fumble. My friend running at me lost his footing in the sand, and fell knee first into my side. Everyone laughed and called me a [censored] and told me to get up and keep playing, which I did. Only later the next day when I realized I couldn't take a full breath did I get a x-ray done.

Showed up to a soccer game on crutches after knee surgery only to be tempted to play the game. I played while I bled all over the place and was in an insane amount of pain. Game was over so I packed my knee back up and crutched my way back out to my car. The Dr. told me I could do anything with my knee as it was in perfect working order once again, it was just a question of how much pain I could deal with...so I tried it out.
