I suppose it is all a matter of personal taste on how the SVT exhaust tips look on a non SVT. Check out the link to Peter Tampas for an example of a great looking Contique with SVT exhaust. Make sure you find the picture from the rear. I helped a neighbor with this mod receintly and his 96 SE looks great with it as well. With all the parts lined up ahead of time it took a little more than 1/2 hour to do the install in his driveway including fabrication of the right rear hanger.

I like Bruce's setup, but I agree the exposed tips look better on the earlies than on the 98+. I think they tie in visually with the little white reverse lights.

I'm still considering what to do, here. Check my Homepage for pics.

werd on the tips being a matter of personal pref. The pics I posted were of my borla setup. The borla tips were just ugly all by themselves, they didn't look "finished". Smaller tips or different tips would have been another story. With the borla's though there was more shinny metal than black hole. Like a 2" hole in a 3" plate, just looked wrong from the getgo, and even worse on the back of a black 98 se, and still worse when viewed from the side of the vehicle, looked like a pepboys special.......

One option is to make some cutouts in your bumper and tuck the tips up a little bit. I think CTA has some rear view pics of a 96 se with dual tips and a stock bumper

I had SVT exhaust w/no res on my 95 SE. Sounded good but raspy when cold. Install is easy, the only modification you have to do is to bolt in the second muffler hanger.
