I live in the middle of Atlanta, and experiance the traffic quite often in my SVT. Driving a manual in traffic does not bother me at all, but i guess i am just used to it since i have never owned an auto. As far as wearing your legs out, you may want lift some weights if your leg gets worn out putting a clutch in and out...

Same here... traffic here in ATL can be terrible, but my left leg doesn't mind.

... but my right one certainly does =D

Honda's, Toyota's, Nissan's, Ford's, GM's, Chrysler's, once you upgrade from the 4-cyl to a 6-cyl they are automatic's as standard.

I'm thinking that is slightly changing. Unfortunately with the manumatics that are faster (or just as fast) as get better (or just as good) MPG, any domestic V6 car that is now receiveing the real sporty treatment will typically get this instead of a true manual.

But I was blown away at what Ponitac is doing this year for new cars... Like this

GTP G6

Only the GTP. GM must be afraid that offering sticks in anything but their sportiest models strays too far from the vanilla.

If the GTP Grand Prix were offered w/ a stick, I would have bought one over my SVT. I don't drive automatics. It's that simple. If GM was serious about getting business from a guy like me, it would offer a stick in its midlevel sedans. A stick has this ability to transform an otherwise mundane appliance into something bearable.

I don't care about the efficiency or the speed of shifts. I don't care which is smoother. I want fun DAMMIT!!! Give me 3 pedals or give me death.
