Cal, U.S.	my 2000 svt contour's alternator light comes on at high rpm's, i replaced the alt. about a week ago and its still flickers in the 6,000 rpm range. could it be something else, also the trans. has always had problems getting into gear, while at stoped, or parking, i have been using the Red line syn. oil in the trans but, it really hasn't helped. any suggestions?

projectSHO89_dup1 Hard-core CEG\'er P Joined: Sep 2002 Posts: 1,788 St. Louis, MO	The alternator brushes are "floating' at high RPMs. Sounds like the replacemnt alternator has the same problem as does the original.
