You missed my point. Hold 'Em is a fad that will pass in due time.

No, I got the point. But you had two points as you also said you wish it would pass. I said why I like it. And I recognize it as a fad, I don't hope it passes. I don't care if it's never on TV again, but as long as I can find people to play with then it's cool.

I got a royal flush last sunday. 10-Q of diamonds on the board and I had A5 diamonds in my hand. Best part about it was there were 2 jacks on the flop plus 2 diamonds. usually you don't get action on big hands but there were 4 players who all hit something. I turned the nut flush and then got the queen on the river, when I showed my hand it was classic I dropped the 5 diamonds first and everyone was like, "you went all in with a 5 high flush when there were higher flushes and full house possibility?" then I dropped down the ace and collected my $400 pot. Pretty damn good pot in a $1-2 no limit game. The guy who called me had pocket queens so the river that gave me the royal flush gave him queens over jacks. PRetty tough spot for him but if he had raised more preflop like he should have, i wouldn't have been playing my A5 out of position
I love poker we need to have an online CEG private tourney table
PS, I hope that J 3 didn't call you all the way to the river for some stupid reason!!!!! I just noticed that you also flopped the boat. Gotta love it when that happens!!

Concurred. No limit games can be very fun. I've never played in one that has gotten that high, guess cuz I'm playing with high schoolers, college students, and occasionally their parents/grand parents.

I play at a poker club in nyc The main games are tourneys with buy ins ranging from 30 bucks to 100 bucks 1/2 NL holdem and 5/5 NL holdem. The old rich jewish guys sometimes play 50/100 stud and they are starting up a 10/25 NL holdem game on sundays. God I wish i had enough money to play that!!!!! my 1/2 game has a minimum buy in of 50 bucks and a max buy in of 250. Truthfully, I would love to have people to play with that had a max buy in of $100 because I don't like the big swings that i sometimes experience although I win more than i lose.
I love poker. It is a great game and a great test of your mental fortitude. I find it almost theraputic in that it really forces me to take emotion out of situations and use my head. When you factor in that some nights I go home with $500 more in my pocket, it is great!!

I was playing no-foldem hold-em at Bay101 in San Jose a few years ago. In my hand I had a pair of aces and on the flop were two aces. No one there knows how to fold, so I raked it in on that hand.
