Hey guys my name is bobby. I am new to this forum and i just thought that i would introduce myself. First of all i am 15 and will be getting my permit soon. I am looking around for a good first car. I saw a Contour SVT last week and i heard it!!!! wow i was shocked (becuase it had custom exhaust) i thought that the svt had a 4 but i was proven wrong and from that point i have wanted to own one. Anyway i posted about this car in a ford focus forum and i was directed here. I live in Sandwich Massachusetts so if anyone in the New England area that would like to sell theirs i am willing to make an offer.
If you guys could show me the ropes it would be great. I just want to make sure that im not doing anything wrong in this forum. Give me some tips here and there because i do not know much about the Contour SVT.
looking around for a SVT Contour for sale in the New England area. If you have one please PM me.

Hey, Bobby..
Tip number one: You can't have images in your signature.
Tip number two: You'll hear it more often than you care to: SEARCH everything you can think of when a problem arises, if you should happen to obtain a contour/mystique.
Tip number three: always post your engine/make/model/miles in your troubleshooting posts, as this will GREATLY improve response time, and narrow possible problems.
Tip number four: Take everything in stride on this forum, we are a bunch of synical, and smart-assed guys/girls. Nothing personal, and no harm meant.. just a fun-loving group.
Enjoy your stay, and take some knowledge with you.. we certainly can't use it when we're dead, so we may as well spread it all we can.
Welcome to CEG..
Ray

Your mommma. ... Oo and contours suck, buy a civic.
Just kidding, contours are great cars, especially considering how little they cost. Just gotta treat them right, and that's what we're here to help you do.

haha he wants a contour!!!! not your POS truck... lol kidding kidding. Welcome Bobby, hope you like your stay here at the CEG Inn! I just got my SVT here not to long ago (about a month) my friend did as well. We both love the cars, but I personally have had a passion for the car for a long time. It's a great fun car and with the right mods can go very far. A few places you can check are:
1)Here in the forums go to the top of the page and click classfieds 2)Cars.com 3)E-bay (if you trust e-bay)
Good luck with the car search!
1989 Toyota Corolla (Totaled, now father car)
1990 Isuzu Trooper (Sold for more than bought)
1998 Ford Contour SE (Totaled in moutains)
1990 Toyota Supra (Blown head gasket)
1998 Ford Contour SVT (So far so good ::knocks on wood::)

PackRat is back? When did this happen?
Anyway, Bobby ... a guy who goes by the name of GR8SVT on here is looking to sell his ... 98 SVT, 53K miles, flawless condition, located in New Braintree (I think). I recommend you check out the link to the Classifieds at the top of this page. Also, there is a forum dedicated to the New England chapter of the CEG accessible by the main forums page (scroll down some). If you're planning to stick around you can see area meets and get to know the group
Being that you're 15 going on 16, an SVT may be a bit high in the insurance range ... especially in Massachusetts! An SE or SE Sport with the V6 and five-speed can provide almost the same amount of fun with a whole lot less cost incurred (premium gas only in the SVT too). A point to consider
