run a wire from your battery's + terminal to the alternator, one from the battery - terminal to the ground, and one to augment the engine/chassis ground. That is the how to. The oly way to really get any more detailed is to drive to your house and do it for you, but that isn't happening.

Just run the wires as the originals are. Trace the big red wire on the + terminal all the way to the alternator and then run your own alongside it. Trace the = wire to the ground, it should be very close. Run yours, then find the engine/chassis ground, trace it, and run your own.
