It is most likely a wheel bearing. Will it fall off....probably not. There is only one instance I have ever heard of a wheel falling off because of a wheel bearing (and it was a Dodge).
34k has little to do with wheel bearings going bad. They tend to go bad faster with the type of roads you drive....plus you have no idea where the previous owner had driven.
